I am a sole trader Chartered Accountant based in Essex, who deals with all aspects of Accountancy, Taxation and Payroll as well as providing consultancy services for new, growing and established businesses. The principal, Mark Hewitt, trained with a medium sized firm in London and qualified in 1992.
The clients range from sole traders and partnerships through to small and medium sized companies based both locally and nationally.
As a small practice we respond quickly to changes in our clients circumstances in order to provide services within client and legal deadlines.
Company Formation: We cover statutory work for public and private limited companies of all types both in the UK and overseas. Our wide ranging commercial background ensures realistic advice is given and practical work is done. We can help in company secretarial services, plc and limited company formations including bespoke online company formations and UK company searches.
Partnerships/Sole Traders: If you do not notify the Revenue of the commencement of your business within three months of the start date you will be subject to fines. Also you must register for payment of class 2 national insurance contributions. We will assist you in this helping to make sure that the Revenue is informed correctly and on time of the start of the business. We will also assist in formulating Partnership agreements and profit shares.
New Business Advice : Starting or buying a business is an exciting and major commitment. Our job is to make sure you get off to the best possible start by helping you to avoid red tape and by providing you with a service that leaves you free to do what you do best. We know that control of costs is a major issue with new businesses so we offer a free initial interview. Our aim is to maximise your business to its full potential, make you wealthier, and to ensure that you retain your wealth.
Payroll: Administering your payroll can be time consuming and burdensome, diverting energy and resources from the core activities of your business. And the task is made all the more difficult by the growing complexity of taxation and employment legislation and the accompanying regime of penalties for non-compliance.
Corporate Tax Planning: Corporation tax represents a substantial part of your trading costs. Together with increased reporting obligations, powerful investigation policies on the part of the tax authorities and harsh penalties for non-compliance mean that a large amount of your time and resources can be taken up collecting revenue for the Inland Revenue. We offer a range of services to help you reduce your corporate tax exposure and relieve you of much of the burden of complying with your tax obligations.
Personal Tax Planning: With the tax regime becoming more complex, and with more emphasis being put on taxpayers' individual responsibilities, everyone who is subject to tax needs professional advice if they are to make the best of their tax position and ensure they meet all the compliance requirements, whilst paying the least amount of tax that they are required to do. As tax specialists we can provide you with year round tax advice.
Tax Returns: With a £100 fine for the late submission of your return it is very important that it is submitted on time. The constant stream of changes to tax legislation means not only that the returns are becoming even more difficult to understand but also that taxpayers risk incurring daily penalties through failing to complete their returns on time or correctly.
We can save you a lot of time, worry, and money by handling your tax return for you. We can do all the necessary computations, complete your return, and advise you how you could minimise your tax liability.
